Subject: PhD private law scholarships at UCL

Dear List Members

I am writing to draw your attention to three PhD scholarships that are currently being advertised by the UCL Law Faculty. They are named the Peter Birks Memorial Scholarships and they are restricted to students undertaking research in private law, although this can include any comparative, doctrinal, historical or theoretical treatment of any aspect of obligations or property law. They are open to overseas as well as UK and EU students, and the award-holders will receive a full fee waiver and £10,000 living expenses per year for a period of three years. Details are here: http://www.laws.ucl.ac.uk/study/graduate-research/applying/funding-scholarships/ Note that applications for an award to run from next September must be submitted by Friday 14 November. If you are interested in applying, and have any questions about this, then please feel free to ask me. If you know of anyone else who might be interested in applying, then please can you draw this information to their attention; again, if you or they have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

Best wishes
Charles
